Gaps and runs

Rodent Service

Monitoring and control of rodent activity, and a straight answer about where they’re getting in.

Chapter 01

Signs before you see one

Most people never see the rodent. They find droppings along the baseboards or at the back of a cabinet, gnaw marks on a box or a wire, or greasy rub marks along a wall where the same route gets used every night.

The other sign is sound: scratching in a wall or the attic after dark. It means something is travelling, and travelling means there is a way in.

How we work it

We start by finding the entry. That means walking the outside for gaps at utility penetrations and the foundation, checking vents, and looking at the garage door seals. A gap narrower than you’d expect is enough for a mouse.

On our quarterly plan we monitor and control rodent activity, placing monitoring and control points along the runs we find. We tell you where they are getting in and what sealing it would take, so the answer doesn’t depend on us coming back forever.

Chapter 03

Keeping them out

Pet food and feed belong in sealed bins. Woodpiles belong off the house, and limbs touching the roof should come back, because a branch is a bridge. These are small jobs and they change what a rodent finds worth the trip.

Follow-up checks ride along on the quarterly schedule. If you hear something between visits, call or text 430-260-7402 and the office will set a time.

Gaps and runs

Four places the gap hides.

Utility penetrations
Where pipes, cables and gas or AC lines pass through the wall, the hole is almost always larger than the line.
The foundation
Cracks and gaps where block or slab meets the ground, and where siding stops short of the footing.
Vents
Crawlspace, dryer and soffit vents with a bent or missing screen are an open invitation.
Garage door seals
A worn bottom seal leaves a strip of daylight along the floor, and that strip is a doorway.

A straight answer

Gives you the service you actually need and ensures quality.
